revTeam is a track-day organizer in Belgium. We are also Evs (electric vehicles) enthusiasts. We would like to contribute to the mass adoption of EVs by showing that they are fast and fun. Even on a race track. Especially on a race track.
If you are a track enthusiast and own a Tesla Model 3 (or the latest Model S), this event is for you. Don’t miss it.
It is an OPEN PIT-LANE event. It means that you are 100% free, for more than 90 minutes, to enter and exit the track whenever you want.
TIMING:
15h00: Join us, charge the car, and enjoy the event.
17h30: Safety briefing.
18h05: Two parade laps behind our safety car. Many pictures will be taken.
18h20: Beginning of the open pitlane session (dedicated to the track compatible Evs).
19h55: Red flag, last lap for everyone.
ALLOWED CARS (for the parade laps ):
All 100% battery electric vehicles (no hybrid) are welcome.
ALLOWED CARS (for the 90+ minutes open-pitlane session):
We are open to any EV with good performance on track, which requires a good cooling system of the battery pack and motors. In a near future, many cars will be compatible but for now, only the Tesla Model 3, the “Raven motor” Model S (built 05/2019 and later) and Porsche Taycan are eligible.
CHARGING:
You can supercharge your Tesla at Verviers Supercharger. The trip from Verviers to Spa consumes about 4 kWh of energy.
Our tip: charge your Tesla to 90% at the supercharger and then go the Spa-Francorchamps. You will make it with about 83% of battery left. We will make sure you can charge the car for 1 to 2 hours (at 11 kW) in the paddock. The car will be at 100% SOC when the track opens at 18h00.
After the track event, you can charge to car for 1 hour at 11 kW as well. This is enough to go back to the near supercharger (Verviers).
CATERING
The wonderful rooftop + restaurant “Pit Brasserie” will be open, it offers a 360° view of the circuit. It has a hot buffet option (18 EUR with one drink included).
RULES
Maximum 1 passenger (2 people per car).
The security briefing is compulsory to everyone entering the track as a driverMandatory: an undamaged helmet which fits well, for bother driver and passenger.Passengers should be minimum 16 years old.Shoes: driver and passenger should wear comfortable, closed shoes. Slippers are not allowed.
PRICING
Visitors: free
BEV parade lap: free (max 80 cars, get your free ticket)
Open pitlane session: 200 EUR per car (with 1 driver)
Extra driver: 50 EUR
Passenger: 20 EUR
Hot buffet at Pit Brasserie: 20 EUR
INSURANCE AND LIABILITY
The rule at trackdays is that each driver is responsible for damage to their own car, whoever caused it. Your regular on-road insurance probably excludes track use. So you might be interested in an extra trackday insurance.
